Three-Strand ropes are available in Sisal and Polypropylene.

Sisal ropes are manufactured from fibers obtained fom the Agave plant that is grown in Africa, Brazil and Mexico. Sisal is the most economical of both natural and synthetic fiber ropes, hence its wide acceptance for non-critical applications. Sisal ropes have very little elasticity and good abrasion resistance, qualities that make it suitable for pully and winching applications.

Polypropylene ropes are light, and economical. Ideal as general purpose ropes, suitable applications range from hardware to household and marine usage. Polypropylene is resistant to most chemicals, it has low stretch, it will not absorb moisture, plus, they float!
